Ana Maiques - The Future of Non-Invasive Neurotechnology for Epilepsy and Depression
Ana Maiques, MBA, is the CEO of Neuroelectrics, a company aiming to change the way we interact with the brain, developing innovative technologies to monitor and stimulate our nerves. https://www.neuroelectrics.com/blog/author/ana-maiques/ ******** BrainMind Special Forum in Neuromodulation/BCI/AI Ana Maiques, CEO of Neuroelectrics, shares her journey in advancing non-invasive neurotechnology to treat neurological disorders. She introduces the concept of "neuro twins," digital replicas of patients' brains created using MRI and EEG data, enabling personalized and precise treatment planning. Highlighting Neuroelectrics' breakthrough in epilepsy treatment, she discusses how their technology, approved by the FDA, significantly reduced seizures in clinical trials. Maiques also explores their efforts in treating depression, emphasizing the potential to revolutionize psychiatry by targeting specific brain circuits associated with different symptoms. She concludes by celebrating diversity and the dedication of her team in transforming patient care through innovative neurotechnology. #7 | Neuroelectrics: Revolutionizing Brain Therapy | MSc. Roser Sanchez-Todo & MSc. Nacho Moragues
In this episode, we are excited to welcome Roser Sanchez-Todo (R&D director) and Nacho Moragues (customer support engineer) from Neuroelectrics, a promising startup located in Barcelona which aims to revolutionize brain therapy through cutting-edge neuromodulation techniques. Roser is the Research and Development Director of the Modeling Department at Neuroelectrics, and she is currently doing a PhD in Digital twins for model-driven non-invasive brain stimulation in Alzheimer’s Disease. Interestingly, she is an alumni of Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where she studied our same degree, Biomedical Engineering, and completed a Master's in Brain and Cognition. Nacho is also a Biomedical Engineer (Polytechnic University of Catalonia), and upon graduation he completed a Master's degree in Data Science from the Open University of Catalonia. After finishing his studies, he began his journey at Neuroelectrics, which has led him to his current role as Sales Manager. Additionally, he started as an associate professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia almost two years ago. Join us as we delve into their groundbreaking work and explore the future of brain health!
